Popular Democratic Governor Andy Beshear honored US Congressional candidate Jerry Torres with a lifetime achievement award for his service to our nation, his communities, and communities around the planet. The governor presented Jerry with the “Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels Award,” the highest honor the Governor of Kentucky can bestow on a private citizen from anywhere in the US.

This honor recognizes citizens who have gone above in giving to their communities as business entrepreneurs, humanitarians, and protectors of the environment.   Jerry Torres became a global job-creating business owner after retiring from the US Army Special Forces – The Green Berets. Since then, he has created humanitarian and environmental protection programs in Northern Virginia and around the world.  His programs are improving the lives of communities in Northern Virginia, Africa, South America, Asia, and Eastern Europe, including Ukraine.
